I finally finished this shawl after ripping it out a few times........and.... it was supposed to be all pink. My own fault, I waited too long to get another so had to subsitute the heather colour. I found the wool in a lovely shop in Bowmanville that not only sells an amazing variety of wool but also sells doll houses and miniatures, another passion of mine. Samantha and I plan on going to Rickaby's when she can manage a Saturday, plus visit all the other great shops.
The shawl was a birthday gift for Samantha, how nervy is that? She creates beautiful knitted garments in record time while leading a very busy life. I, on the other hand am retired and have all the time in the world and don't seem to accomplish near as much nor do I have her talent for knitting. I can't complain though, I love being home full time, enjoy my family and get together once a week with my sisters for creating, and trying new desserts..

It wasn't nervy at all - the things you make are my favourite gifts ever. And I keep this on the couch and wear it at night when it gets chilly in the house (which is more often than we'd hope in the summer!)
The only reason I get things done is that I'm like Dad - I can't sit still. I need to take lessons from you and Steven and learn how to relax more!
